This project was part of my final assignment for the IEFP course, where each student was assigned a specific program offered by IEFP and tasked with finding creative ways to promote it. The goal was to design an engaging campaign that highlighted the course’s value and attracted prospective students
Project Duration: September – October 2024
Role: UX/UI Designer
Tools: Figma
Promotion and publicity for the Mechatronics course at IEFP
Creation of a design for an educational app with multiple difficulty levels, making learning fun and more accessible
Creating low-fidelity and high-fidelity prototypes, conducting usability tests, using paper and digital wireframes, and iterating designs
Adults aged 18-65, with an interest in Mechatronics, looking to deepen their knowledge or learn more about the field
After closing the pop-up, it’s not possible to log in/sign in again
Suggestion to add more levels with the option to lose lives, increasing the challenge for the user.
The navigation bar was not working for some users
Black icons on a dark blue background lack readability, suggesting a need to improve contrast.
This project presented a fun yet challenging opportunity, pushing me to work effectively under a tight deadline while exploring the gamification of educational concepts. Through this case study, I gained valuable insights into designing for educational apps, discovering ways to make learning more engaging and enjoyable for users.
Although I’m pleased with the final outcome, if I were to continue working on this project, I would prioritize additional usability testing to refine the user experience further. I would also develop more levels with diverse question types, enhance the lives system to increase user engagement, and explore expanding the content to cover topics beyond mechatronics.
